On Monday, February 12, 2024, a scientific symposium was held at the College of Law and Political Sciences on ((The railway connection between Iraq and Iran and its repercussions on the large port of Al-Faw)) in the hall of the martyr Dr. Muhammad Hardan Al-Hiti.

Where the first axis, Professor Dr. Muhammad Dahham Kurdi, dealt with the vision of the Iraqi-Iranian railway connection and the objectives of this project in terms of the main objectives around it in terms of developing relations between the two countries, developing infrastructure, openness, diversity, and sources of income.

The second axis was assigned to Dr. Jabbar Hassan Saeed, where he addressed the high cost of the project and the unwillingness of some regional countries to connect with Iran, as well as the rugged geography and minefields that obstruct the project.
