About the department

 The Department of Economics was established with the beginning of the establishment of the College of Administration and Economics, to be one of the most important pillars of this college, to contribute to providing the government and private economic sectors with competencies that work to achieve the process of comprehensive economic development in a way that contributes to increasing economic growth rates.

The Department of Economics graduates students with a bachelor’s degree in economics annually in morning and evening studies. The department also contains postgraduate studies (Master’s and Ph.D.) as the department has contributed to providing our university and other various sectors with a number of scientific competencies from master’s holders in economics. In the 2014-2015 academic year, the first batch of doctoral students was accepted, to be the first batch of doctoral students in economics, God willing.
