Training workshop on the voice of youth in the 2030 development agenda

 The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Anbar hosted the training workshop held by the United Nations Development Program in cooperation with the Sustainable Development Unit at Anbar University, entitled “The Voice of Youth in the 2030 Development Agenda” in the presence of Prof. Deans of colleges and university professors.


During the workshop, the official of the Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, Eng. Muhammad Muthanna Abdul Ghafour, a lecture on the unit’s goals and the purpose of its creation, and a summary of the achievements made by the university in implementing these goals, through which the university has achieved advanced ranks globally and locally in the Indonesian (UI Green-Metrics) and British (THE Impact Ranking) global rankings.
A video about the sustainable development goals in Arabic was also shown, and a group exercise was presented to the participants on how to engage young people in the field of sustainable development goals.
The workshop aims to shed light on the role of university students in accelerating the goals of sustainable development at the national level and activating their role through training them on the objectives of the cooperative workshop.
It was emphasized during the workshop that young people are able to change the world for the better and achieve sustainable development if they are given the opportunity and have the capabilities and because they are the largest beneficiary of technology, as today's generation can achieve many achievements if it is involved in future projects and that it will be able to generate opportunities work and not obtain it or demand it.
