An Electronic discussion conducted by Department of Mechanical Engineering to use of icy fluids collected from conventional refrigeration fluids

The Department of Mechanical Engineering /College of Engineering /University of Anbar, held a seminar under title:

Numerical and Experimental Steady State investigation of Supercritical CO2 Gas Cooler plate Heat Exchanger

on Monday 15/11/2021 at 8:00 pm by using Google Meet technology.

Dr. Saad M. Jalil / head of the department, presented a lecture in which he dealt with a practical and numerical study of the use of icy fluids as an alternative to traditional refrigeration fluids.

This study aims to use carbon dioxide (R744) as a de-icing agent in refrigeration systems, as an alternative to other refrigeration fluids that cause an increase in the heating of the atmosphere and global warming:

Potential Warming Globate WGP

As the impact of other fluids on the environment is hundreds of times compared to carbon dioxide, for example (refrigerating fluid (R22) has an impact on the environment equivalent to 2400 times compared to the effect of carbon dioxide).

This seminar included a number of questions and inquiries, and opinions were expressed by the participants in the seminar.
