Awareness seminar
In conjunction with the campaign launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - Women’s Empowerment Department, the College of Pharmacy, the Women’s Empowerment Unit, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, organized an awareness-raising seminar on the morning of Tuesday, January 16, 2024, under the title (Together to Create an Environment That Rejects the Appearance of Harassment).
This symposium was held in the presence of a group of female college students in the conference hall. The symposium was attended by (Professor Asraa Adnan Abdel Jalil), Assistant Dean of the College for Administrative Affairs and head of the Women’s Empowerment Division at the university, and (Professor Afrah Adnan Khalil) at the symposium. Responsible for the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the college, in response to the college’s program, which stipulates organizing activities and events aimed at guiding female students on the behaviors they must adhere to in order to provide protection from any harassment they are exposed to, whether physical, verbal, or psychological. This symposium included the distribution of educational brochures against the phenomenon Harassment.
In conclusion, the door for commenting and discussion was opened for the attendees to enrich what the lecturers presented on this topic and its importance. Hence, the college extends its thanks and gratitude to everyone who contributed and participated in this guidance symposium, asking God Almighty to grant success to our dear students in their academic journey.
