Quality Assurance and University Performance Division:

   It is one of the administrative divisions that is directly related to the dean, and it seeks to follow up and implement the university's plan in terms of quality assurance in order for the university and its colleges to obtain academic accreditation that enhances the quality of the educational process at the university.

 

The tasks of the division and its job description can be illustrated through the following:

1- Following up the technical details related to the implementation of the college’s quality policy and supervise its implementation approved by the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the University Presidency.

2- Setting and implementing quality plans and programs at the college level in a manner consistent with the quality policies at the university level.

3- Following up the application and evaluation of the quality and academic accreditation standards approved by the Ministry and the university in this  field.

4- Following up achieving the college’s vision, mission, and goals in reality, and giving relevant indicators in this field.

5- Continuous improvement of the level of scientific and administrative performance for all employees and for all activities, operations and jobs in the college.

6- Purposeful Preparation, planning and following-up aiming at the success of the self-evaluation processes of the college’s performance and its various programs.

7- Collecting the results of the self-evaluation of the college performance, analyzing them and extracting the strengths and weaknesses, and presenting the necessary proposals to develop and improve the college's performance as a step towards obtaining academic accreditation that enhances the improvement of the educational process in the college.

8- Carrying out direct communication and coordination with the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Anbar University to follow up the quality assurance and university performance processes.

The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Division consists of four units:

1- Quality Assurance Unit

2- University Performance Evaluation Unit

3- Training and Technical Support Unit

4- Laboratory Accreditation Unit

 

1- Quality Assurance Unit

Definition of the unit: The unit seeks to spread significance of quality education and achieve the requirements for obtaining accreditation with its institutional and programmatic types for the college and its various academic programs to enable the college to continue to perform its mission and achieve its goals.

Unit tasks: The unit is concerned with the following tasks.

1- Reviewing and updating the college’s strategy, mission, and strategic goals in light of developments and updates for developing and updating higher education.

2- Following up and implementing the college plan regarding quality assurance in order for the college to obtain an academic accreditation that enhances the quality of the educational process in the college.

3- To instill awareness among faculty members, students and all faculty staff of the importance of implementing the quality assurance and accreditation system and consolidating information related to quality assurance and accreditation mechanisms.

4- Sitting the foundations, rules and procedures for periodic monitoring and following-up to implement the standards of quality assurance and accreditation.

5- To suggest university performance standards and to let quality control for the educational process components related to the instructors – professors, curricula, laboratories, college infrastructure, university student, and performance evaluation processes.

6- Propose and set working procedures, rules and guidelines for developing and improving performance in a manner that contributes to ensuring the quality of college performance.

7- Preparing periodic follow-up reports about the unit’s activities and submitting them to the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Division at the college.

8- And any other tasks assigned by the college to enhance the quality assurance of the educational process.

 

2- University Performance Evaluation Unit

Definition of the unit: The unit seeks to measure the level of college performance to ensure that it meets the requirements of quality assurance and accreditation, in addition to adopt the self-evaluation of the college in a systematic way.

 Unit tasks: The unit is concerned with the following tasks:

1- Evaluating the performance in the college and doing what is necessary to determine the level of performance and its quality.

2- Establishing a database for all the activities of the college in order to be able to follow the development of the educational process in it.

3- Conducting and participating in field studies to match education outcomes with the needs of the labor market and providing guidance in this aspect.

4- Ensuring that the goals of the college are achieved by taking appropriate measures to evaluate its programs and outputs with different evaluation tools.

5- Setting the necessary procedures to implement the quality assurance standards, on the basis of which the college meets the requirements of quality and accreditation

6- Providing technical consultation  to the college in developing and implementing performance evaluation and quality assurance systems.

7- Preparing periodic reports about the unit’s activity and submitting it to the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Division in the college.

8- Preparing and planning to follow up the self-evaluation of the college's various activities and programs and follow up implementation.

9- Collecting the results of self-evaluation studies, analyzing them, showing their pros and cons, and presenting the necessary proposals to develop and improve their performance.

10- And any other tasks assigned by the college to support the university performance evaluation process

 

3- Training and Technical Support Unit

  Definition of the unit: The unit seeks to establish training courses and continuous improvement of human resources in the college, in addition to providing technical support with regard to computers and Internet networks, the establishment of a database and the establishment of conferences and workshops.

Unit tasks: The unit is concerned with the following tasks:

1- Making use of the results of the self-evaluation of the college’s performance in guiding the inputs of the educational process and proposing appropriate methods and means for continuous improvement and improvement of the college’s performance.

2- Working to implement training courses and workshops that contribute to the building of the institutional capacity of the college.

3- Working to hold seminars and lectures to spread awareness of promoting an education of quality, development and continuous improvement in the college's performance.

4- Setting programs to continuously improve the quality of teaching and learning processes, scientific research and community service.

5- Working to form trained cadres of faculty members in the field of quality assurance and accreditation at the college.

6- Preparing periodic reports on the unit’s work and submitting it to the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Division in the field of continuous development and improvement programs for the college’s activities.

7- Issuing brochures, pamphlets, and guides on quality assurance and accreditation support.

8- And any other tasks assigned by the college to support the performance improvement process

 

4- Laboratory Accreditation Unit

The Laboratory Quality Assurance Unit has many goals, tasks and duties that can be summarized as follows:

1- Reaching the college’s laboratories to the approved standards for laboratories.

2- Defining the technical specifications of the devices and equipment, coding them and documenting their data in coordination with the laboratory officials.

3- Following up the implementation of calibration programs for devices and equipment with the relevant authorities.

4- Coordination to open programming courses to train laboratory staff, according to specializations, according to international specifications and national standards.

5- Monitor the efficiency of laboratory devices by examining random samples between different time periods to ensure the quality of laboratory tests.
