The College of Basic Education/Haditha holds a cultural symposium on violence against women

 Under the guidance of the Deanship of the College of Basic Education/Haditha, represented by its Dean, Professor Dr. Mudhir Abed Ali, the respected, the Women’s Empowerment Unit in our college organized an educational symposium this morning, Thursday, 12/7/2023, entitled (Violence against Women from the Perspective of Islamic rules). This symposium was held on  Conference and seminar hall at the college, in the presence of the Dean of the college , representatives of the Community Police Department in Haditha, and a group of faculty and students.

 The symposium began with Assistant Lecturer Sumoud Nasser Al-Din Taha, who welcomed the Dean and the attendees, then invited them all to stand and sing the Iraqi national anthem coinciding with the approaching Iraqi Victory Day, which falls next Sunday. After that,the Dean delivered his speech, congratulating Iraq and the Iraqis on this great victory, praying to God  To preserve our beloved country, and on this occasion, His Excellency stressed the need for women to take their role in society and for all types of violence towards them to be stopped. After that, Ms. Sumoud gave her lecture on the topic of “Women’s Empowerment and the Importance of Equal Work Opportunities in Society between Women and Men.” After that, the teacher delivered the  Assistant lecturer Afrah Ismail Wahib gave her lecture in which she discussed “Violence and its impact that continues with women throughout their lives and may be entrenched in the character of their children.” Then Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmmoud Abdel Latif Hamad came to give his lecture in “The rules Perspective, emphasizing the absolute rules prohibition of violence against women.”

 In conclusion, the door for comments and discussion was opened for the attendees to enrich what the lecturers presented on this topic and its importance. Hence, the college extends its thanks and gratitude to everyone who contributed and participated in this educational symposium, asking God to grant success to our dear students in their scientific career.
