Scientific Laboratories

Continuing our practical scientific coverage of our college laboratories in the Department of General Sciences and all its branches, the media lens was specially focused on our dear students in the morning study session, accompanied by Assistant Professor Afrah Ismail Waheeb on this scientific day, Wednesday: 13/2/2024. The coverage details were as follows:

Academic Stage: Fourth.

Scientific Subject: Graduation Research.

Research Title: The Effect of Sodium Fluoride on the Liver, Kidney Functions, and Some Blood Parameters of Local Male Rabbits.

The work conducted within the research laboratory was to complete the practical aspect of the graduation research for fourth-stage students in the Biology Department under the supervision of Dr. Khalid Dafik Ahmed. The work was completed in the animal house, and after completing the experiment, samples were taken from the parts of the animals under study to make tissue slides in order to determine the effect of the added substances and to compare between the affected and healthy animals. It's worth mentioning that this is the first research in the college in which tissue work has been conducted as a result of the availability of the specific tissue cutting device (microtome) within the research laboratory.

It is noteworthy that such experiments are conducted in the central research laboratory in the college, which has been equipped with the latest types of devices, thanks to the efforts of the university presidency and well-known international organizations. It is open to everyone for work and use throughout the day.
