The goal of the Department of the Security and Community Studies is to focus on the study of social processes that contribute to violence. In order to analyze and comprehend the causes of security and problems in society, as well as to work toward developing laws and other practical countermeasures, this is being done. The department's objective is to carry out specialized academic research on regional and global security as well as the security issue in Iraq specifically. The Department gathers data on numerous risks to Iraqi national security, performs field surveys, and prepares security and community reports and investigations. The department attempts to offer general policies to counter terrorism and extremism in all its forms, based on these data and intelligence analyses. It is also the duty of the Department to concentrate on creating regional approaches to address security issues, specifically in the province of Anbar. Furthermore, the department is constructing regulations and protocols that will bolster security and stability across Iraq.
