Development of Wadi Houran


As part of the series of meetings of research team on the development of Wadi Houran and the gathering of international support for the establishment of nature reserves there. An important meeting was held on Tuesday morning, 30th of March 2021, at the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center hall at Anbar University for this purpose.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed, Director of UEBD Center, Prof. Dr. Essam Khudhair Hamza, Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Dr. Ahmed Saud Mohammed, Dr. Muneer Naji Ahmed, and Assistant Instructor Jabbar Shihab Eyadah, and the meeting was honored with the presence of consultant engineer Mohammed Khalaf Marzoug, the Governor's representative for environmental and reserves affairs.

During the meeting, all the questions requested by the responsible of the feasibility study of the project, Mr. Ahmed Amin Jubeir, were answered.

In the end of meeting, the Director of the Center praised the efforts of members in the research team interested in the study of the development of Wadi Houran, with a letter of thanks and gratitude for their efforts in the success of this important strategic project, which we hope will contribute to enhancing the security stability of the province, improving its environment, and creating many jobs in it.
