The head of the Planning and Databases Department in the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center, the Instructor. Dr. Ahmed Saud Muhammad participated in the public discussion of the master’s student (Abdul-Malik Talal Assaf), a student in the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering - College of Engineering - University of Anbar for his thesis entitled:

(Evaluation of Dams Sustainability within the Wadi-Horan Region)

The discussion took place on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the discussion room in the aforementioned section. Where the study presented by the student aims to assess the sustainability of small dams established in Wadi Houran (Al-Rutba Dam, Houran Dam 2 and Houran Dam 3), where remote sensing data proved ‎‎(RS) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are effective as a better method because they consume less time with the ability to deal and retrieve data for different periods of time to assess the sustainability of these dams.
