((Very important)) Monitoring water floods in Wadi Al-Abyadh as a result of the recent wave of rain

In the interest of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre to provide databases for rain, torrential rains and water harvesting projects, and through cooperation with the Small Dams Office in the Western Desert region, the recent wave of rains recorded in the past few days was followed.

Where the rains that fell on the areas of the Iraqi Western Desert recorded the occurrence of torrential rains in Wadi Al-Abyadh and within the basin of the um Al-Tarfat Dam on this valley, west of the Al-Nukhayb area, where these torrents were monitored and provided us with pictures of the quantities of water received, Engineer Ali Saleh, responsible for small dam projects, who confirmed that good quantities of torrential water were received to the cistern of the um Al-Tarfat Dam.

For this occasion and to provide complete databases for scientific research purposes and postgraduate students, we call for the establishment of hydrological monitoring stations in various areas of the valleys to invest and benefit from them in the development of water harvesting projects.
