University of Anbar participates in the closing ceremony of the project of ((Nuffic)) organization for smart agriculture and water management in Iraq


The Manager of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre, Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, participated in the delegation headed by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mushtak Taleb Al-Neda, in the celebration of the Dutch ((Nuffic)) organization to conclude the smart agriculture and water management project in Iraq, Which she supervised in cooperation with the Dutch University of  Wageningen & Research, which is one of the best universities in the world in the field of agriculture, and the participation of six Iraqi universities: (Salah al-Din, Mosul, Karbala, Kufa and Basra, in addition to the University of Anbar).

In his speech at the closing ceremony, the President of the University expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Organization and the University of  Wageningen & Research and his great support for these projects, which would develop research work and increase expertise in the field of smart agriculture and water management. He also commend the active and distinguished participation of University of Anbar and its staff in this important project which resulted in the publication of three scientific papers in reputable international journals and two other researches in the evaluation stage, one of which was participated by the Manager of the Centre.

There was also an active participation of the centre's staff in this project, where Prof. Dr Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed and master's student Rasha Nayef participated in a workshop within the project held last year, in addition to Prof. Dr Essam Khudair Hamza, who contributed to the preparation of the project proposal for the University of Anbar within this project, while Prof. Dr Ammar Hatem Kamel occupied the position of the general coordinator of the University of Anbar in the project.
