Interdisciplinary agriculture is considered one of the modern agricultural methods by planting two or more types of crops simultaneously in the same field during the growing season, which are similar in their environmental requirements and that they are grown in the same season even if they differ in planting dates. The use of overlapping cultivation methods between grass crops and leguminous crops in particular is important to increase the productivity of the total crops as well as to regulate the sources of production and its inputs and reduce the costs of production elements. The use of nested farming systems is one of the new concepts to increase production and achieve the idea of positive coexistence between crops that work to fix nitrogen in large quantities that exceed their need of this element, such as legumes, for example, and crops that need large amounts of nitrogen, especially in crops that stress the soil, and thus the main crop (grass) benefits from the accompanying crop in a way that improves growth and yield compared to single cultivation without a leguminous crop.  We also get a lot of other benefits, including soil conservation and weeds control. The use of the nested agriculture method reduces the amounts of nitrogen fertilizers as adding them in large quantities leads to the emergence of some problems in the soil, especially the reverse of nitrification to the volatilization of ammonium in the air, which causes pollution, as well as the washing of nitrates leads to environmental problems, including air, soil and groundwater pollution.

Determining the appropriate planting date is one of the most important growth inputs in the management of crop production programs in order to exploit the genetic potential of each variety in each region of the world, as timely planting has a clear impact on the different stages of plant growth and development and improving the components of the yield as a result of increasing the efficiency of the crop in exploiting the climatic conditions available during the season such as temperature, relative humidity, intensity and duration of lighting, etc., which will reflect positively on increasing the yield rate according to the goal of Planting the crop and growing season.
