As part of its publication series, the Centre for Strategic Studies at University of Anbar released a second report titled "Building Academic Leadership Strategies in Iraqi universities: University Of Anbar as a model."

A research study titled "Building Academic Leadership Strategies in Iraqi universities: Anbar University as a model" was released by the Centre for Strategic Studies. Along with three other academics from Anbar University, Prof. Dr. Atheer Anwar Sharif, associate rector for administrative affairs, led the workshop. This was one of the most significant studies to address this problem from an analytical, scientific perspective. The concept of the study centres on how universities are changing from traditional research and educational institutions to institutions with innovative practices that are essential in ensuring that people receive the education they need in the future thanks to the ability of their senior management to make innovative decisions.

In order to deal with the unpredictable external environment, it employs creative problem-solving techniques, autonomous work habits, an emphasis on efficiency, and associated entrepreneurial ways of working, thinking, feeling, communicating, organizing, and learning. Based on this, the study presented an opportunity to incorporate these data into the Iraqi context, which is desperately in need of such subjects due to the significant investment made in the field of higher education, particularly at Anbar University, and the numerous pressures and difficulties this industry faces in a setting full of determinants.
