The social, economic, health and psychological effects of displacement on the Anbarian community, a field study

In 2014, Anbar Governorate was subjected to a fierce terrorist attack by ISIS terrorist gangs, which led to the displacement of the majority of the governorate’s residents to the various governorates of Iraq, as well as the exodus to neighboring countries, where some of them lived in miserable displacement camps lacking simple necessities of living, and some of them were subjected to Security and economic harassment ... etc. led to psychological and social problems in the conservative Anbari society, which did not know such problems before, especially since it is characterized by generosity and a good standard of living for its common people.

After the liberation of the province from the terrorist gangs of ISIS, it became clear that there are different problems that society suffers from, some of which did not exist in the first place, and others were not clear because of the few people who suffer from them or because of social factors that prevent them from being disclosed, and in order to study the effects of displacement from different social and economic aspects And psychological and health issues on the Anbari society, the University of Anbar formed a research team of different specializations to conduct a field study on samples from the Anbari society to diagnose these effects and their causes, to suggest treatments for them in accordance with the saying (prevention is better than cure) if some of them do not need treatment and whenever the society and the state delay In treating it, paying a high price for treatment at a later time. This study comes within a series of studies offered by the University of Anbar, represented by the Center for Strategic Studies and the supporting colleges at the university, to embody the role of the university in monitoring community problems and proposing solutions to them, and that this problem is realistic and not hypothetical. A situation that all societies in the world are exposed to as a result not only of terrorist acts, but also natural disasters and Epidemiological diseases Therefore, all countries and Iraq must first study displacement from its various aspects and build mechanisms and procedures to deal with it in the future or for any reason whatsoever, and this is what the University of Anbar presented in a previous study.
