Reference to the directives of the University Presidency regarding the establishment of specialized workshops to raise the skill and knowledge level of students and graduates of the college.

 The Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering - College of Engineering - University of Anbar, in the presence of Prof.  M .  Dr. Juma'a Awad Al-Sumaida'i, head of the department, and a number of teachers, gave a specialized workshop (in attendance), during which Ms.  Dr. Ibtihal Ahmed Mawloud, a lecturer in the department, entitled:

 {{Environmental Effects of Plastic}}

 Today, Wednesday, 25/5/2022 at ten in the morning, in the discussion room in the department.

 The workshop dealt with: identifying plastic, its source, its chemical composition, and how it has become dominant in our modern life. It is impossible to imagine life without plastic.

 The doctor also clarified during the lecture the types of plastic and showed the safe and dangerous types depending on the number and chemical formula of the plastic, and focused on the global methods used to dispose of plastic waste and its impact on the environment and human health, as well as the most important studies and applications of ways to dispose or reduce plastic waste, as well as  Addressing possible alternatives and the role of the individual in reducing the increase in plastic waste.

 The workshop was attended by a number of students and graduates of the department.
