The College of Engineering council held its eighth open session for the academic year 2022-2023 on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

 The session was chaired by Dr. Amir Abdul Rahman Hilal, the Dean of the College of Engineering, in the presence of all members.

 The meeting began after welcoming the attendees and discussing several issues, including:

 - The directives from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

- The directives of the Honorable University President.

- The directives of the Honorable Dean.

- Presentation of the College's Research Plan for the Academic Year 2022-2023.

- Reports from the Scientific Department Council Meetings.

 - Achievement Rates for Meeting the Requirements of the Bologna Process Track.

The council also discussed several issues and matters that were included in the agenda.

 The session also included the honoring of the esteemed Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Amir Abdul Rahman Hilal. He honored both Assoc. Prof. Moath Jasim Mohammed, the former Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, and Assoc. Prof. Jumaa Awad Al-Samidai, the former head of the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering. This recognition was in appreciation of their blessed efforts and dedicated service. The ceremony included presenting them with shields of excellence and creativity.
