A workshop on “Using Rubrics to measure performance indicators” held by the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering
The Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering - College of Engineering - Anbar University, within the curriculum of its scientific activities for the academic year 2023/2024, and in the presence of the respected Head of the Department, Dr. Yasser Abdel Majeed, and a number of members of the Scientific Committee and the department’s teaching staff, held a workshop under the title: -
(Using Rubrics to Measure Performance Indicators)
This will be held in the hall of the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering for discussions in the department today, Tuesday, 9/24/2023.
The workshop included discussion of two topics.
The first topic was presented by Dr. The honorable Arkan Dhari Jalal, where he explained how to use performance indicators in the process of evaluating outcomes and the requirements for writing a self-evaluation report.
As for the second topic, it was delivered by Dr. The honorable Nabil Shaker Mahmoud, in which it was explained how to evaluate the outputs using correction templates.
The workshop included a detailed presentation on training the teaching staff on how to achieve the national accreditation requirements set by the Iraqi Council for Accreditation of Engineering Education. One of the most important of these requirements is conducting a process of measuring and evaluating the outcomes of the educational process and then using the evaluation results in the process of continuous improvement.
At the end of the workshop, the two lecturers presented several proposals to supplement the educational process in order to achieve the requirements of national accreditation
