Meeting of the Advisory Industry Committee (IAB) with all its members in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the academic year 2023-2024
Based on the requirements of the Academic Accreditation Committee, the Industry Advisory Committee (IAB) met with all its members in the Mechanical Engineering Department for the academic year 2023-2024, in the presence of the Scientific Committee and the Academic Accreditation Committee, on Tuesday, 12/12/2023, at ten in the morning to discuss the following work:
1. Reviewing the educational objectives that express the professional competencies of program graduates in a way that ensures that the needs of all stakeholders are met.
2. Reviewing the learning outcomes according to the specifications of graduates of Iraqi engineering colleges shown in Appendix D of the national standards document and at the level of international specifications, taking into account societal and environmental aspects and professional ethics. He also urged students to improve the quality of life and preserve the sustainability of the environment, heritage, and human and national values.
3. Reviewing the curriculum and its implementation mechanisms to ensure that the program provides an integrated educational scope that ensures building the capabilities of graduates to apply knowledge, skills, and behaviors related to engineering work.
4. Providing some suggestions about the current and future needs of the local labor market.
