 Vigorous efforts are being made to obtain the approval for the opening of postgraduate studies (Masters) in the department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering 

 

Through direct follow-up by Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jumaily, dean of the College of Engineering, and deputy dean of the College of Engineering for Scientific affairs, Associate Prof. Dr. Amir Abdel Rahman along with the tireless efforts of the head of the department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering, Associate Prof. Dr.  Sadiq Aliyu to rehabilitate the laboratories, halls and library of the department and provide all technical and administrative matters for the opening of postgraduate studies (MSC) in the Dams and Water Resources Engineering Department, the ministerial committee in charge of checking the readiness of laboratories was received today. The committee was headed by Prof. Riyad Zubaidi and the membership of each of Associate Prof. Dr. Hassan Ali Omran and Associate Prof. Dr. Haidar Althamme where the committee inspected the hydraulic, fluid, environmental, remote sensing, soil and computes laboratories. The committee also inspected the classroom halls allocated for postgraduate students and the department's library. The committee  held a meeting with the proposed postgraduate staff, where the objectives of the opening of postgraduate studies were discussed along with the allocation of planned curricula and units. At the end of the meeting, the ministerial committee expressed satisfaction at the readiness of the laboratories and staff of the department and will report to the Ministry within the few coming days.
