Dean of the College of Engineering meets first stage (new) students for the academic year 2017/2018


The Dean of the College of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jumaili met, in the presence his deputy for students affairs Dr. Ihsan Khalaf Rathea, the newly admitted  first-stage students for the academic year 2017/2018 on Sunday 3/12/2017 in the central hall of the college.


At the beginning of his speech, the Dean welcomed the students and congratulated them on their admission to the College of Engineering and wished them success in their careers. The Dean, then gave a brief explanation of the college, its departments and its administrative and scientific work system. The Deputy Dean for Students Affairs and Director of the Registration Division of the college were then instructed to read the legal instructions, the examination instructions to familiarize the students with their duties and rights.

Dr. Zaid Muhammad Kani, chairman of the Academic Accreditation Committee of the college, then explained the first phase of this year's study system, which would be in accordance with the requirements of  (ABET) system. This will be the real nucleus of the quest to achieve an important goal of the college, which is to obtain (accreditation).


Then the students were permitted to ask questions, queries and present problems the most prominent among them was the issue of identity cards and start-up timings which were answered by the Dean where he instructed the Registry Division to complete the identity cards as soon as possible and to allow the students to enter the first class if they are late for a maximum of ten minutes in circumvention of transportation problems .


The meeting was attended by the head of the electrical Engineering Department, a number of teaching staff and the Director of the Information and Public Relations in the College of Engineering.
