The Faculty of Engineering was ranked third during the 8th Graduate Student Research Conference

The Faculty of Engineering - Anbar University received the rank of student research during the 8th Student Conference held by the Department of Student Affairs and Registration under the auspices of the University. Dr. Eng. Khalid Batal Al-Najem, President of Anbar University under the supervision of Dr. Mushtaq Taleb Nada, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Tuesday, 15/5/2015, at the Presidency Hall of the University.

The President of the University delivered a speech during the conference in which he stressed that the research of students must meet the comprehensive quality standards and should have a detrimental impact on the society so as to solve the problems it suffers and in line with the university strategy.
The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs stressed in his speech that the competition between students' research should be scientific and accurate and that research be submitted in full. He added that the student research projects for the final stages are important for the student to be ready for graduate studies.
Students' research was discussed by specialized committees in the scientific and humanities departments at the university in a scientific atmosphere after the students were distributed to these committees according to the specialization.

The conference was attended by representatives of the College of Engineering, Mr. O. Ameer Abdul Rahman Helal, Dean's Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ihsan Khalaf Rathia, Dean's Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and Dr. Moaz Jassim Mohammad, Member of the Scientific Committee of the Conference.
It is worth mentioning that the third-place student research in the conference is from the Department of Electrical Engineering under the title:

Computer simulated experiments for power electronics.

It is provided by the Taliban,

* Mohammed Khamis Latif.
* Sabah Hameed Hantoush.
The students were supervised by Dr. Hameed Fayyad Afach, a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

At the end of the conference, gifts and certificates were distributed to students, teachers and conference committees.
