The thesis dealt with an analytical study of the effect of various geometric shapes on the nonlinear natural frequencies of a functional gradient (FGM) from simply supported panels on a flexible basis exposed to thermal environments.

It was found that the increase in power index leads to a decrease in natural frequencies while the vibration capacity decreases when the thickness of the FGM layer increases. The flexible foundation has a significant impact on vibration capacity and natural frequencies. Vibration capacity decreases when the flexible base is increased. Increasing the temperature will increase the vibration capacity, so the natural frequencies will decrease and the structure becomes less rigid when comparing the different forms of reinforcement. The ring for reinforcement is better among other shapes.

After extensive discussion by the members of the discussion committee with the student, the letter was accepted.
