In implementation of "the directives of HE the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, respected and special on the establishment of scientific visits to sites of application ..

Department of Civil Engineering - Faculty of Engineering - Anbar University under the supervision of a. M . Dr. Amir Abdulrahman Hilal, Dean of the College, a field visit to the students of the third phase to the site (bridge Palestine - highway) Thursday, 14/3/2019.

 

The students were accompanied during their visit to the site:

 

a . M . Dr. Muayed Abdul Aajbar Ahmed *

 

The visit was organized in cooperation and coordination between the Department of Civil Engineering and the Directorate of Highway Traffic - Supervisory Committee on the bridge, they are:

. R. M Farah Ghassan Mtaib Chairman of the Committee*

. Engineer Mazen Saadi *

They are graduates of the Department of Civil Engineering - Anbar University.

* Abdul Karim Hamad Makhlaf.

 

The bridge of Palestine is one of the vital bridges on the international highway that runs through Ramadi, which links Iraq to neighboring countries Syria and Jordan. According to the report of the Supervisory Committee, the bridge has been destroyed by more than 40%. The reconstruction work started in 2016 under government supervision and funded by the United Nations The project is carried out by the company «Ghosn Al-Krum» and «Polycon» Turkish business is still ongoing.

 

The students toured the work site accompanied by engineers and technicians who explained to them a lot of technical details constructive from their experience in the field of work ,,, and the increase came out with conclusions and commandments, including:

 

 * Identify the different parts of the structure of bridges such as pillars, concrete pillars, tributaries and slabs of all kinds are all under implementation.

. * To recognize the importance of the scientific side of the engineer and develop the expertise and how to make the appropriate decisions.

. * To know how to manage the field work and the importance of administrative and technical cooperation between all parties of supervision and implementation.

* * Discussing the possibility of conducting summer training for some students at the site.

 

At the end of the visit, the students and the supervisor of the visit thanked the engineers and technicians working at the site for their good reception and for their detailed and clear information about the work on the site.
