Research Summary :-

* Due to air cooling methods limitations, researchers' attention was moved to liquid cooling techniques. At the beginning, water was used as coolant. Although, water gave better results; however, it was shown limits of heat removal.

Plate-pin heat sinks are widely used for the different applications to enhance the thermal performance of heat sinks due to simplicity, low cost, and a reliable manufacturing process.

* Due to the limitations of air-cooling methods, the researchers' attention was shifted to cooling techniques using liquids. In the beginning, water was used as a coolant, although the water gave better results, but there were limitations on heat removal.

Circular heat tanks are widely used in various applications to improve thermal performance of heat basins due to its simplicity, low cost and reliable manufacturing process.

The workshop was attended by the Department's Rapporteur, the Graduate Studies Committee and a number of graduate students and students in the department.
