The aim of the study is Cellulose nanocrystalline (CNC) was prepared from Chara algae using ball milling, the sulfuric acid hydrolysis method, and the ultrasonication method. These prepared materials were used to remove of Cu(ll), Zn(ll), Pb(II), Ni(II), and Cd(II) ions, as well as E. coli, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas, and Klebsiella from liquids. Various batch experiments' parameters were considered for the removal of heavy metals and bacteria using the nanocellulose membrane such as nanosorbent dose and initial metal concentration. The study found The filtration membrane's capacity to adsorb microbes and heavy metal ions can be enhanced by the modification of the membrane with nanocellulose, particularly with regard to separation and adsorption performance.
