The media, with its various means and tools, is the most influential in society, especially in the current stage in which the world is witnessing a great openness in the field of technology and social media, which touch the life of society daily, and almost no home or family is devoid of a mobile device, Internet or television. Sociologists have confirmed Anthropology and related disciplines stress the need to pay attention to the media, after which the fourth authority affects society and the state alike. Therefore, the impact has become clear in all aspects of life and its joints. The best evidence of the importance of this influence, specifically the youth segment, who interact very quickly, which led to a direct reflection of this reality in their lives. Therefore, the recent events experienced by Iraqi society, especially after 2003, and the major and dangerous transformations that the country has undergone, especially in the political and security fields And the transformation of the system of government from a totalitarian and centralized system to a democratic system , and the consequent instability in most parts of the country. Hence, the role of the media came in defining the features and policies of successive governments and their role in upsetting the scales, especially what the media arena witnessed in terms of freedoms and the multiplicity of satellite channels on the positive and negative side by conveying the events either objectively and professionally or by obfuscating the facts. Which led to the existence of a clear blurring of the Iraqi citizen between the belief and denial of news and events that were transmitted by some media outlets. Therefore, we have embraced the large number of paid media outlets affiliated with some politicians and parties supported regionally, internationally and locally. As we mentioned how it distorted the Iraqi reality in a negative way in order to destabilize society? As for the other side, there was a national media that confronted and assumed a national and humanitarian responsibility in the face of anti-social media by conveying the facts with honesty and credibility, and this contributed greatly to gaining the confidence of the citizen and thus reflected positively on the stability of Iraqi society at the current stage. As we noticed during the previous period how the media played its role in influencing the level of thinking in the attitudes that citizens take towards the changes taking place in society, especially the ISIS stage, and how these media gave great importance to them and called them mujahideen and sometimes resistance. One of the bad conditions that surrounded the country and then questioned the other professional media outlets that they work for other parties whose aim is to destroy the country and create chaos and this is what actually happened, which resulted in the fall of some Iraqi provinces and the collapse of the political process as well as social media channels that were a great supporter in Fueling and creating an unstable social structure by promoting false news and raising dubious rumors that threaten the security and stability of society, and thus the role of the media has become a vital role in this area in the stability or instability of society.
