The president of the University of Anbar, Prof. Dr. Mushtak Talib Saleh Al-Neda, led a high-level delegation that included the vice president for administrative affairs and the directors of the university's research centers.  In addition, the advisor to the president of the university was invited to participate in the scientific conference titled "The role of centers studies and research to make the government program successful" that was hosted by the office of the prime minister. The symposium's three main topics were water salinity, necessary alternatives, wasted wealth, and sustainable development. Prof.  Dr. Atheer Anwar Sharif, Assistant President of  University of Anbar  for Administrative Affairs, presided over the session on the issue of desertification and drought and ways to address it. The president of  University of Anbar  acknowledged the significance of the symposium and emphasized that Anbar University fully recognizes the need of supporting research institutes with all available resources so they can expand their capacity to benefit society. He expressed his gratitude to the prime minister's office advisers for their invitation to this significant symposium. Professor Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, the Deputy Minister for Administrative Affairs of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture and Water Resources, attended the symposium. Delegations from the universities of Mosul and Basra joined the delegation representing the University of Anbar, as well as those from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Water Resources, and the office of the Prime Minister, which served as the symposium's official sponsor. The symposium's participants and organizers praised the university delegation's active participation, contributions, and ideas. They also recognized the important role that Anbar University's presidency played in creating and advancing this initiative, which had its origins at this university.  Following the symposium's events, the participants came to a consensus on a number of proposals, the most crucial of which is to support research centers and strengthen their capacity to benefit society while also enhancing the effectiveness of the government curriculum. A funding should be set aside for scientific research conducted by research centers, and the collaboration between research centers should be strengthened, according to the symposium's other recommendations. Through contractual arrangements that benefit both parties, for colleges with various governmental departments.
