The Faculty of Engineering holds a workshop on solid waste management and sanitary landfills in cooperation with the Anbar Provincial Council

 

In accordance with the directives of the President of the University, Dr. Eng. Khaled Batal, the star, with openness and cooperation with the departments of the governorate and in various fields, the College of Engineering, under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Amir Abdulrahman Hilal, held a workshop on " Diwan of Anbar province Monday 21/1/2019 in the governorate building in the presence of directors and representatives of the municipalities of the province.

The workshop dealt with issues related to solid waste and sanitary landfills in Ramadi and the governorate districts.

 

The workshop was conducted by: Dr. Ayad Salibi, a narrator in the Civil Engineering Department, where two lectures were given by the professors of the Civil Engineering Department.

* First lecture delivered by a. M . D. «Muayad Abdul Jabbar Ahmed» on the design and technical standards of the sanitary landfill and its importance in the province to reduce the pollution of the environment.

* The second lecture was given by d «Ahmed Rahoumi Rajab» on the techniques of recycling and reuse of solid waste and the role of conservation in the investment of these wastes ...

 

The workshop came out with many recommendations to preserve the environment of the cities of the province to ensure a better life for the citizens. The workshop was to ensure the University and the Faculty of Engineering to open up and cooperate with the institutions and departments of the province in order to provide engineering consultancy and environmental services and there is actual cooperation on the ground in this field.
