Seminar for teachers, engineers and students of electrical engineering department

Department of Electrical Engineering - Faculty of Engineering - Anbar University in the presence of Eng. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Latif Abbas Head of Department and within the scientific and cultural curriculum (Chapter II) for the academic year 2018/2019 Seminars Seminar entitled:

Micro-grid Power System

On the hall of the Department of Electrical Engineering Tuesday, 5/3/2019.

In which the teacher, Dr. Mushtaq Najib Ahmed, taught one of his lectures in which he explained the concept of electrical grid as well as Micro-Grid.

Most of the conventional power stations use petroleum derivatives as the main source of the station's work. This is one of the most important problems in their work because it produces so-called carbon dioxide and is a source of harm to human life. In addition to this, the energy generated in the generation plants needs transmission lines to reach the residential areas. This is considered very expensive because "the distances are very far" up to thousands of kilometers, most importantly in the case of faults in the transmission lines With Uh not to bring electric power to areas followed by other words, the electric power Mntomat classic going in one direction for the transfer of electric power. Micro - Grid: Small electrical power networks consisting of clean, man - friendly energy sources such as solar and wind energy, as well as loads and storage elements. The main advantages are that they use more than one source of energy to meet the needs of residential areas and move the energy direction in two different directions. From small areas to national grid and vice versa as needed. In addition, there are no power losses due to the absence of long wires to transport them so that they are considered to be less expensive than the power of ordinary electrical networks.

The workshop was attended by the president and members of the scientific committee and all the teachers, engineers and students of the fourth stage in the department.
