Field Trip

  On Wednesday 3/3/2021, a team of the Center of Desert Studies, represented by director of the Center and researchers from the Desert Development Department, went for a field trip to the Western desert region (65 km west of Ramadi), during which some perennial plant species were collected, including Ephedra alate, Artemisia, Zilla spinosa, Achillea fragrantissima, and other species.
 
 The aim of this trip was to collect some species to supply the herbarium in the first place. In addition, using them in the experiments of some researchers. Also, collecting some seeds for cultivation during this season as an attempt to propagate them through direct or tissue cultivation.
 
 The team consisted of:
