Scientific Library

 

The scientific library unit is linked to the scientific assistant, and it manages a number of library activities, including the scientific books library and the electronic library. CDs for books, theses and university theses, as the library is equipped with a number of computers that enable the researcher to view the CDs. The library includes a cloning device to photograph the books that the researcher needs that cannot be loaned. The job description of the library’s tasks can be summarized as follows:

1.  Provide researchers, teachers and students with what they need in terms of books, research, letters, theses, journals and scientific periodicals.

2.  Preserving and classifying the contents of the library in a way that facilitates access to and dealing with them in order to provide facilities for primary and graduate students and researchers and enable them to complete their research by giving them the opportunity to view and borrow the resources available at the library.

3.   Maintaining the library's property and contents and maintaining its assets to serve the achievement of its service objectives for students, researchers and teaching staff.

4.   Copying research papers, theses and theses on disks and keeping them for use by students in order to develop the electronic library.

5.   Follow up on borrowing dates and notification of latecomers to meet the date of returning the sources.
