Immunological and bacteriological study of patients with chronic renal failure

In continuation of the scientific approach followed by the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre in holding workshops and seminars, and in support of the new research staff that joined the Centre, and to learn about their research lines, the Assistant Lecturer (Areej Hamad Hassan) presented on Sunday, 14/5/202023 a valuable scientific seminar on: ((Immunological and bacteriological study for patients with chronic renal failure)).

The study presented by the researcher aims to identify some types of pathological bacteria associated with patients with chronic renal failure taken from diuretic samples. And study the sensitivity of isolated bacteria to a number of antibiotics and the study of some immunological indicators on patients with chronic renal failure.

The researcher revealed the most important results reached through her study of the research, the most important of which were:

1-    Females have a higher incidence of chronic renal failure than males, with females (58%) compared to males (42%).

2-    The results of bacterial culture of diuretic (83%) and diuretic samples that gave a negative result of bacterial culture were (17%).

3-    The most common bacteria that cause UTI are found to be bacteria.

At the end of the seminar, which was attended by a number of researchers and specialists, the researcher made a number of recommendations that were accepted by the attendees, and they were as follows:

1-    Conducting a study on the presence of anaerobic bacteria associated with patients with chronic renal failure.

2-    Qualitative and quantitative investigation of other interleukins other than what was indicated in our study.

3-    Molecular investigation of the presence of virulence factor genes in bacteria associated with patients with chronic renal failure.

4-    A comparative study of the properties of interleukins before and after the occurrence of chronic renal failure in the human body.
