Medicinal plants in Anbar are a sustainable medical treasure

Al-Anbar Governorate is one of the important areas that have an ecological border extension with a plant diversity that extends with Syria and the Saudi Arabian It is characterized by a wealth of medicinal wild plants that vary between the plants of the dry areas in the far west of the governorate and the fertile areas near the Euphrates River, Plant genetic factors to reconsider and evaluate plants, effective materials have been identified that have had effects that give promise in treating many diseases, which can be among the promising experimental treatments for the tongue Or using it as a complementary treatment, instead of the usual chemical treatments, despite its harmful side effects to the body. A study of four genera of wild-growing Compositae (Asteraceae) plants, namely Achillia (Forsk.) She. fragrantissima, wormwood (Aoss) Artemisia herba-alba, wild lettuce L. Lactuca serriola, and galangal (L.) Gaertn. marianum silybum, Which contains the active chemical groups, namely: Phenols, Flavonoids, Tannins, Glycosides, Saponin, Alkloids, except for the extract of the wormwood plant, which gave a negative result for alkaloids, and the results of the thin layer chromatography showed that the phenol extract of the four plants contained the most Such as Pyrogallol, Cinnamic acid, Gallic acid, and Hydroquinone, as well as containing some types of flavonoids, and they showed a vital effectiveness in increasing the numbers of lymphocytes, and did not show any significant toxic effect on them, and the crude phenolic extracts of the aerial parts of each of them had a negative effect on cancerous lines Cancer, MCF-7, RD HCAM SKgT4, -MB231 MDA ex vivo, and cancer arises due to several factors, including factors related to the patient primarily such as lifestyle and genetic predisposition, in addition to the efficiency of the immune system, factors related to the tumor itself, and other external factors Overlapping, affecting the development of cancer, such as exposure to carcinogenic environmental factors, these factors together explained the difference in the development of cancer from one person to another, even if both of them are exposed to the same infectious risks. Antioxidants mean chemical compounds that can bind to free radicals without turning into a harmful radical, provided that they are not harmful to the body and are subject to excretion.

That is, the body can get rid of it, works to provide the free electron that is associated with the other free electron resulting from the oxidation process, and thus reach the state of stability, and examples of it are what is found in plants, including carotenoids and phenolic compounds, phenolic compounds and more flavonoids and flavonoids. A potency of vitamins, and the reason for this is due to the chemical structure of phenols or flavonoids, which depends mainly on the number and location of the hydroxyl groups OH giving hydrogen in the aromatic ring of phenolic compounds One of the important medicinal plants that the researchers in the college were interested in studying is the Capsella bursa- pastoris (L.) Medic plant, the aerial part of western Anbar (Al-Qaim city) belonging to the Crusader family and is characterized by its containing flavonoids, peptides, choline, acetylcholine, histamine, fatty acids, Organic acids, amino acids, sulforaphane, and many trace elements. The Capsella bursa-pastoris (L.) Medic plant contains about 2.9% protein, 1% minerals, and 3.4% carbohydrates. The leaves are rich in vitamin C, calcium and iron. It also contains sterols, an alcoholic steroid in plant oils It acts as a natural anti-cholesterol and the risk of heart disease, while limiting the amount in the diet. It is believed to be anti-cancer and chlorophyll. It has medical importance as it controls excessive appetite, provides the body with iron, reduces the effects of aging, sedates nervous tension, expels toxins and unpleasant odors, and treats allergic reactions to the respiratory system. Research has shown that it has an effect. Effective on raising reproductive efficiency by stimulating the development of each of the reproductive system organs in a shorter period compared to control animals and the first treatment, acetylcarnitine, after giving experimental mice the extract of plant leaves.

Atmospheric in addition to the gases rising from the fuel and its combustion, including vehicles The benzoates that rise from burning wood and car exhaust, as the effectiveness of these plants has been proven to protect vital organs in experimental mice, such as the kidneys, liver and lungs, and they have reduced the carcinogenic effects of these gases and elements, and thus are an important alternative to protecting our bodies from environmental pollution. Researchers, academics, and all segments of society, because of what it affects our daily lives and is a vital and indispensable part, and the presence of natural reserves for these plants is necessary to ensure their survival and continued growth and reproduction.
