الأستاذ الدكتور علاء إسماعيل جلوب (حاصل على درجة الدكتوراه) أستاذٌ في اللغويات التطبيقية في قسم اللغة الإنجليزية بكلية التربية للعلوم الإنسانية بجامعة الأنبار. حصل على درجة الدكتوراه في اللغويات التطبيقية. حصل على درجة الدكتوراه من الجامعة الوطنية الماليزية (يوليو 2018). عمل الدكتور علاء أستاذًا جامعيًا منذ عام 2003، حيث درّس العديد من المقررات الدراسية في مجال تخصصه في مرحلتي البكالوريوس والدراسات العليا. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، عُيّن ممتحنًا داخليًا وخارجيًا للعديد من طلاب الدراسات العليا. كما نال شرف عضوية ورئاسة لجنتي الدراسات العليا والعلمية لسنوات عديدة. كما تعاون مع العديد من المجلات العالمية المصنفة في سكوبس كعضو تحرير ومراجع في مجال تخصصه. نشر الدكتور علاء العديد من المقالات البحثية في مجلات سكوبس الدولية. تشمل اهتماماته البحثية اللغويات التطبيقية، والتعلم المدمج، والتعلم المقلوب، واللغة بمساعدة الحاسوب.
