Head of branch is Prof. Dr. Muna Mohammed Yaseen The Basic Science branch in the College of Dentistry is responsible for teaching the fundamental sciences that form the basis of modern dentistry. These sciences include anatomy, general physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, oral microbiology, general-pathology, chemistry, biology, medical physics and computer sciences. Duties This department is dedicated to teaching general basic knowledge that integrates with dental sciences which is essential to complete the learning process and graduating high-quality dentists. The topics covered by this department include: ·Microbiology, pharmacology, theory and practice for the third-grade students. ·General Physiology, General histology, and biochemistry theory and practice for the second-grade students. ·Chemistry, biology, medical physics, computer sciences, human rights, and Arabic language for the first-grade students.
