A seminar on the storage of thermal energy held by the Chemical Engineering

A seminar on storing thermal energy in enhancing the provision of electrical energy in the solar energy system, held by the Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering Department.

The Department of Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering - College of Engineering - University of Anbar and within the scientific activities for 2019/2020 (second semester) held a seminar under the title:

Using variable phase materials to store thermal energy in order to enhance the provision of electrical energy in solar energy systems

This is through closed circuit using Google Hangout meet technology, on Sunday 3/5/2020

Assist. Prof.Dr. Mustafa B. Abdel Ghafour, a lecturer at the department gave a lecture in which he explained that the process of changing the phase of the material from the solid state to the liquid state leads to the gain of a quantity of heat with the degree of phase transition proved to be available in this paraffin wax, so it can be used as an energy reservoir Thermal energy in solar energy systems during the period of surplus solar energy during the day time and this energy can be discharged at night time to continue supplying residential and industrial homes with hot water in the winter, which improves the efficiency and performance of solar systems during its work and there is available paraffin wax N oil refineries in large quantities can be invested in this work and gives the result in the provision of electricity exchange due to heat gain excess investment.

The seminar was attended by the head of the department and the practical committee and a number of lecturers at the college and the department.
