Dr. Muthanna Ismail Turki, and Dr. Omar Khalaf Rashid Al-Shujairi, who are both teaching staff in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, participated in the work of the International Scientific Conference under the slogan (Control of Drugs and Rehabilitation of Addicts with an Academic Scientific Vision) and tagged (Towards a National Strategy to Reduce the Phenomenon of Drug Abuse and LSD) on 22-23/ August / 2022 in the office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The conference was held by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers / Department of Non-Governmental Organizations, Al-Araqah Foundation for Culture and Development and the Arab Forum for Women Studies and Training / Federation of Arab Trainers Syndicates and the Ministry of Youth, Department of Women Empowerment under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Youth and Sports Honorable Mr. Adnan Darjal and the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Hamid Al-Ghazi.

 Dr. (Omar Khalaf Rashid Al-Shugairi) presented his research (The Role of the University in Treating and Preventing Drug Addiction Phenomenon).

The conference included the participation of scholars from Arab universities, as well as the participation of researchers from various Iraqi universities.
