Scientific contributions - discussing a doctoral thesis
In the context of scientific cooperation between the College of Pharmacy and the rest of the colleges of Anbar University, Prof. Asraa Adnan Abdel-Jalil, Assistant Dean of the College of Pharmacy for Administrative Affairs, participated as a member in the public discussion of the doctoral thesis of the student (Tamara Adnan Abd Mandil), Department of Life Sciences - College of Science - University Al-Anbar on Thursday, 10/19/2023, at Jaber Bin Hayyan Hall, about her thesis tagged: -
((Study of genetic polymorphisms and gene expression of IL-6 and transmembrane protease serine-2 genes and secondary bacterial infections in Iraqi patients infected with SARs-COV2)).
The study aimed to find the relationship between the TMPRSS2 rs2070788 and IL-6 rs1800795 genes and their relationship to the development of the disease in people infected with Covid-19 and to identify the bacterial species associated with it.
After extensive discussion by the committee members with the student about the thesis topic, the thesis was accepted.
