An air depression with high medium effectiveness on Monday and Tuesday

As part of its climate monitoring and observation programme, the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre – University of Anbar has announced weather forecasts based on meteorology using satellites, with Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam, climate expert at the centre's Natural Resources Development Department, stating that as of Monday evening, 19.2.2024, the central and northern region, starting from the western parts of the country, will be exposed to a Mediterranean low pressure area with medium effectiveness, dense clouds and thunderstorms, with temperatures remaining around the general level, in the southern region it will be effective (weak) and on Tuesday, 20.2.2024, it will rain in the northeast and east of the country (Kirkuk - Sulaymaniyah - Diyala), which should support the dams in these areas, namely the basins of Dukan, Darbandikhan, Al-Adhim and Hamrin dams.

After that, the land is generally dominated by an air height where the atmosphere stabilises for more than a week, and the land remains in this state until the pumping of cold air in the upper layers changes.
