The control of air heights over Iraq during the next 10 days and the possibility of rain and runoff events

The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar announced the expected weather condition during the next (10) days. Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mikhlif, a climate expert in the Natural Resources Development Department at the Centre, stated that there will be complete control of the air heights over Iraq from 28-3-2024, with a gradual rise in temperatures during it.

As a result of the extension of Horan valley with neighbouring countries from the west, the Red Sea depression will be active focused on Saudi Arabia and its extensions will reach Al-Jawf and Turaif during Friday and Saturday, 29-30/3/2024, so it is expected that these precipitation will provide the valley with water floods, which will be a tributary of the Euphrates River.

On Sunday evening, rain cells may be unique on a small scale, entering Iraq from the west on Rutba and Muthana, light rain will fall.

The control of the air heights over the region and Iraq, especially until Sunday 7/4/2024, and it is expected that Iraq will be exposed to an air depression; the extent of its effectiveness is determined by the developments that will occur on the entire pressure system.
