Active participation in the Sustainability Week Program (Future University) and the Second Conference on the Future of Sustainable Energy (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research)


The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar participated in a number of important activities in the activities of (Sustainability Week, and the Second Conference on the Future of Sustainable Energy), held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which were held at the Future University for the period 17-22/2/2024, under the slogan (Climate Change and the Future of Generations).

The Centre’s participation in this scientific program and the national conference came in the presence of the Director of the Centre, Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, and a number of researchers who presented their accepted scientific products for participation, including the patent of Prof. Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed on rationalizing irrigation water consumption, in addition to the presentation made by Dr. Ahmed Saud Mohamed on the study of green education from his product, in partnership with Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Yaseen Nada, Head of the Human Resources Department, and Dr. Ahmed Taha Yassin Researcher in the Human Resources Department, and Assistant Professor Adel Hamid from the Audit Department at the University Presidency.

In addition, the centre’s participation came with the contribution of assistant teacher Saif Saad Mansour, with his patent on recycling cement waste and benefiting from it, and the book of the Iraqi Valleys Development Guide, which includes a feasibility study for the establishment of nature reserves and a national park in Wadi Horan, was presented and seven researchers from our centre participated in its preparation within sixteen researchers, including an external participant from Canada.

The exhibition and conference witnessed the presence of the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs and a number of university presidents and their assistants, and the President of the University of Anbar, Prof. Dr. Mushtak Talib Al-Neda, honoured the delegation of our university participating in the presence and interest of our university's pavilion at the exhibition.

Based on the foregoing, the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at the University of Anbar extends its thanks and great gratitude to the University of the Future for its interest, good management and authentic Arab hospitality to the participating delegations and congratulates them for this great success, and our centre plans to conclude a memorandum of cooperation with the College of Engineering at this sober university that returns the leader to both our universities and our dear country.
