Within the cultural season of the Department of Field Crops, under the generous sponsorship of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Edham Ali Abde Esq.

With the blessing of Allah, the first scientific symposium was held in attendance, entitled (Conservative agriculture, what has it? And what is on it ?) in which  Prof. Dr.  Muaiad Hadi Ismail Al-Ani and Ass. Prof. Dr. Ismail Ahmed Sarhan Al-Jumaili , two teachers in the Department of Field Crops / University of Anbar.

In the first part of the symposium, the lecturers reviewed the concept of conservation agriculture, a brief history, the foundations, conditions and benefits of applying agriculture to the soil and the environment.

As for the second part, it included the advantages of applying the conservation agriculture system, its role in increasing crop productivity and the paramount importance of the ecosystem and its reflection on food security and sustainable development, as well as reviewing the obstacles and future prospects for the sons of the conservation agriculture system.
