The College of Agriculture/University of Anbar witnessed, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Idham Ali Abd, the public discussion of the doctoral student Husam Naji Mikhlif in the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources tagged Predicting Some of Soil Physical Properties and Assessing the State of Drought in Some Desert Soils from Al-Sakran Project in Western of Iraq Using Geospatial Techniques. The study aimed to use the spectral reflectivity values to predicting some soil physical and chemical properties and determining its spectral signature, use evidence and spectral indicators in determining the soil quality index and assessing the state of drought. In addition to, drawing and preparing the spatial distribution maps of important soil characteristics and determining the environmental sensitivity of desertification. The thesis was accepted after making the minor corrections recommended by the discussion committee.
