Today, the College of Agriculture / University of Anbar hosted Prof. Dr. (Abdul Karim Ahmed Mukhilif) (Desert Studies Center / University of Anbar) and Ass. Prof. Dr. (Qusai Abdul-Razzaq Waheib) teacher at (College of Agricultural Engineering sciences / University of Baghdad) and Prof. Dr. (Nazim Shamkhi Rahal) teacher at (Central Technical University / Al-Suwaira) as members of the public discussion committee for the doctoral student (Noor Shakib Thanoon) in the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources for her thesis tagged (Assessment of the state of land degradation for sedimentary soil series in the middle Euphrates plain using geospatial information)). The discussion committee consisted of:

The study aimed to analyze the reality of spatial variation in soil characteristics within the secondary geomorphological units within the study area, and the use of administrative evidence in evaluating the quality of the soils of the study area, determining its quality and evaluating the state of its administrative performance. In addition to diagnosing the manifestations and cases of deterioration in soil characteristics, evaluating its productive capacity in the study area, and giving administrative recommendations to treat it. Using GIS technology to create maps for the spatial distribution of the evidence used. The thesis was accepted after make minor corrections recommended.
