In order to raise the scientific level of postgraduate students and familiarize them with the basics of modern Biotechnologies, an experimental practical lecture was conducted for postgraduate students, masters and doctorates, for the departments of Plant Protection, Field crops, Horticulture and Landscaping in part of the Advanced Biotechnology (special lesson) in the central laboratory, through which students were introduced to the equipments of the Biological unit and an explanation of the working principle of each device. The method of extracting DNA from plants and fungi, in addition to qualitative and quantitative assessment of the extracted DNA was explained. This was under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ayoob Obaid Mohammed / Head of Plant Protection Department.
