Implementation of the PhD student post-graduate dissertation project (Haidar Hassan Falah) has been started in the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources, tagged (The genetic and development of Al-Karmah area soils under different irrigation conditions) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hussein Ali Ibrahim, , as the study aims to characterize and classify the soils of the Al-Karmah area and to note the variation in its characteristics, in addition to evaluating the state of development in the soil horizons and the nature of the distribution of gypsum under different irrigation conditions. As well as, classifying the productive capacity of the land and determining its suitability for the cultivation of grain crops.
