Prof. Dr. Ali Darb Kassar / Department of Agricultural Economics participated in the consultative meeting of the Comprehensive Agricultural Conference. Where the Al-Zawraa Foundation for Economic Development held a consultative meeting  in the office of the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture to discuss applied agricultural research and the time periods of the comprehensive agricultural conference under the title (The Role of Sustainable Agricultural Development in Achieving Food Security).  All research papers were presented that dealt with eight important axes in the agricultural sector, both plant and animal, and discussed ways of government support for the agricultural sector, protection of local products, attention to agricultural wealth and its development and development, as well as interest in livestock and fisheries, and setting and amending legislation and laws to enhance the protection of the agricultural sector, combating desertification and attention to the environment and water wealth. Raising the efficiency of irrigation using modern technologies and reducing losses in water transport, the use of remote sensing techniques and geographic information systems, the applications of clean agriculture and the protection of crops, and the activation of laws and regulations for agricultural quarries at border crossings. Developing and encouraging agricultural investment and financial support for farmers through activating agricultural lending initiatives, activating agricultural insurance, managing agricultural risks, securing energy sources, and supporting agricultural inputs and outputs.
