College of Agriculture discusses a master's thesis on Hardening and Seed Priming of Wheat

College of Agriculture University of Anbar discussed this morning, in the presence of Assist. Prof. Dr. Osama Hussain Mahidi, head Department of Field Crops, the master's thesis tagged Hardening and Seed Priming of Wheat with Salts and Growth Regulators to Tolerance Salt Stress. student, Ashraf Saeed Farhan, Department of Field Crops. The committee consisted of:

Prof. Omar Ismail Mohsen / University of Anbar - College of Agricultural / Chairman.

Assist. Prof. Makiya Kazim Ilak / University of Baghdad - College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences / Member

Assist. Prof. Walid Abdul-Sattar Taha / University of Anbar - College of Agricultural / Member

Assist. Prof. Bushra Shaker Jassim / University of Anbar - College of Agricultural/ member and supervisor

The study aimed at knowing the effect of hardening and stimulating the seeds of three varieties of wheat with salts and growth regulators irrigated with salt water in the growth stages.

The researcher recommended the necessity of adopting Al-Rasheed variety, stimulation treatment with melatonin, and salt hardening at a level of 7.5 dS m-1.

After extensive discussion by the committee members, the thesis was accepted after making the corrections recommended by the discussion committee... congratulation to the student and the supervisor.... Blessing for discussion committee, student and the supervisor.
